A Great Way to Build Team Relationships
Every year the WA Family Business Australia, sponsored by KPMG, holds an annual Yachting regatta at the Royal Perth Yacht Club.
This event has been running now for six years and is the launch of the FBA events calendar for the year. Galvin Engineering has supported this event since it began in 2005.
Family business members use this as an opportunity to promote team building and motivation training within their organisations.
The yachts are hired through the Yachting Australia Foundation and are used by many other organisations for similar events.
This year Galvin Engineering took the opportunity for its operational team and some new team members to join the Company Directors, Paul and Chris Galvin, on one of the yachts. As the team is often busy in their respective areas it is great for Paul and Chris to get to know the team on a more personal level in a fun and relaxed environment. Team members also learn more about their colleagues? strengths and abilities that they may not see in an everyday work day.
The team had a great afternoon out on the Swan river although, due to a slight hiccup at the start of the race they were unsuccessful in achieving the honours of race winners.
