The new 960-bed prison in Wiri, South Auckland, has been designed, financed, built, operated and maintained by the Secure Future consortium on behalf of the New Zealand Department of Corrections and focuses on rehabilitation and making communities safer.
Galvin Engineering's previous experience with other similar correctional projects in New Zealand assisted the client selecting a high quality product backed by a reliable supplier and technical advice. The team also ensured that the vandal resistant and anti-ligature guidelines were taken into consideration.
Products Specified and Installed: The Safe-Cell® Shower Rose was chosen for the facility due to its easy maintenance and vandal resistant aspects. The three star shower head provided the necessary flow and green star outcome that provided whole of life benefits for the facility.
