Here at Galvin Engineering, we try to get involved in the community and give back as much as possible.

During November each year, our employees actively participate in ‘Movember’ to raise awareness of mental health, prostate and testicular cancers, and suicide prevention. By growing and sharing their Mo’s journey, our Mo’Bros help raises vital funds and awareness of men’s health.

As everyone knows, without Mo’Sistas there can be no Mo’Bros so the ladies at Galvin Engineering also participated by walking for the cause - also known as Mo’vers. Our Mo’vers set targets for themselves in order to achieve a certain number of steps a day with the help of their trusty Fitbit. In return, they receive donations from their family and friends who committed to supporting them strive to better health and lifestyle.

Congratulations to Ian Mercer from the Victoria office, who step an astounding 552 137steps which equivalent to 421km and on his way to be the biggest Mo’ver of this year’s Movember.

Many thanks to Felicity Kendall our Accounts Receivable Officer for coordinating Movember nationwide and of all our Mo’Bros and Mo’Sistas progress each week.

For every dollar donated towards Movember, our Managing Director, Chris Galvin has matched the amount of $8,334 via a donation from the company, taking our team total to $12,946 towards this great cause.

Congratuations to Duncan Lane who raised $381 on his way to be the highest fundraiser this year.

Thank you to everyone who participated, supported and donated towards Movember raising awareness of men’s mental health.

Our Mo'vers take a step away from their desk at morning tea to go for a walk.
