The GalvinCare® Ligature Resistant Floor Drain has been designed for prisons and holding cells, and all mental health and secure environments to minimise the risk of self-harm using a technique called the "Crocodile Roll".

The drain's design comes complete with a tapered circular style, ligature-resistant slot grate specially designed to minimise the instances of self-harm and the ability to conceal contraband.

This tapered circular design features a unique two piece inset grate top, allowing maximum flow across the drain grate giving waste water and soaps unobstructed flow though to drainage pipes.

The inset design also works in reducing ligature risk by not providing a straight path through the drain or the ability to create a looping point to tie off material such as wire, string, cord or bedding.

GalvinCare® ligature resistant floor drains and grates all comply with Watermark, and have been tested to AS 3996 load class rated Class B and E.
