Specification Data Sheet

Designed and manufactured in Australia, the GalvinCare® Safe-Connect Shower Head promotes a normalised and dignified showering experience in mental health and high-care environments. This innovative unit combines two functions in one fitting, a fixed shower head and an auto-divert detachable hose, allowing both independent and assisted showering without the need for a separate outlet or in-wall diverter.

The patented click-connect design eliminates the hose connection when not in use, reducing ligature risk and improving patient safety. Care staff can fully detach the hose and handpiece after assisted use, lowering the potential for self-harm while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.

The unique patented diverter not only enhances safety but also reduces installation costs by more than $500* per unit compared with traditional shower and diverter combinations - lowering plumbing and waterproofing requirements while speeding up installation.

When paired with the CliniMix® Lead Safe™ Ligature Resistant Thermostatic Progressive Shower Mixer and GalvinCare® Handle, the Safe-Connect creates a cohesive, aesthetically normalised shower set, supporting design intent for calm, non-institutional spaces.

Protected under Australian Patent 2017100421 (international patents pending), the Safe-Connect represents a proprietary GalvinCare® innovation - combining superior safety, reduced whole-of-life cost, and streamlined installation.
