A Contemporary Aged Care Community for Melbourne's South-East
Located in Melbourne's rapidly growing south-east corridor, Clyde North Terrace Care Community is a purpose-built residential aged care development designed to support comfort, connection and independence. Developed for Opal HealthCare, the three-storey facility provides 160 private resident rooms with ensuites, alongside a range of wellness, dining and lifestyle amenities that create a welcoming, home-like environment for residents. Designed by ClarkeHopkinsClarke and delivered by APM Group, the project reflects the growing demand for contemporary aged care communities that prioritise resident wellbeing, accessibility and quality of life.
The Challenge
Modern aged care environments must balance clinical functionality with resident comfort, dignity and independence. For Clyde North Terrace Care Community, the design team sought to create an environment that supports residents with varying mobility requirements while maintaining a warm and welcoming residential feel. With private ensuites throughout the facility, dedicated dementia support areas, landscaped outdoor spaces and wellness-focused amenities, the project required bathroom solutions that would help residents maintain confidence and independence while supporting carers in delivering safe and effective care.
Our Solution
Galvin supplied accessible sanitaryware solutions throughout the development, helping to create bathrooms that support safe and comfortable daily use in an aged care environment. Selected solutions were designed to assist residents with mobility and transfer requirements while contributing to a consistent and contemporary bathroom design throughout the facility. By combining accessibility-focused features with durable healthcare-grade construction, the installed products help create practical, resident-friendly spaces that support both independence and quality care delivery.
