As the COVID-19 pandemic continues across the world and throughout our region, the team at Galvin Engineering has been working around the clock to ensure the health and safety of all team members and essential visitors and liaising with our vast network of material and component suppliers to keep supply chain interruptions to a minimum for our valued clients and partners.

So far we have implemented the following new strategies:

STAFF

In preparation, Galvin Engineering has implemented strategies in line with key Government Department of Health advice related to social distancing by reducing number of people in confined spaces and working with reduced number of staff in physical offices.

While Galvin Engineering’s Australian based manufacturing, operations, administration and sales teams are available as normal, our teams have taken steps to set up large portions of our workforce to work remotely, ensuring our clients’ and partners’ projects continue at this time. Our investment in robust IT systems in previous years provides us with the opportunity to do this in a quick and undisruptive way across all our distribution hubs in Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

CUSTOMERS

The Galvin Engineering sales team is working alongside our customers and partners adhering to their individual workplace policies by reducing the frequency of all non-essential sales and project meetings. Our sales & technical teams continue to provide the same high level of service via phone and email. Demand for CPD presentations continues to grow and we invite you to take part in one of our newly launched online CPD presentations.

SUPPLY CHAIN

Manufacturing continues to move forward and is in a solid position for both, raw materials and finished assemblies. Our manufacturing teams are exercising zero touch hand overs and social distancing protocols.

Distribution of finished products is continuing as normal, with none of our logistics partners reporting any significant interruption. This is monitored daily with contingency plans in place should one of our partners be unable to deliver. Our warehouse and distribution teams across Australia are exercising contactless supply and distribution of all orders and all our warehouses, team areas and equipment are being regularly disinfected.

We are closely monitoring the evolution of COVID-19 and will provide another update shortly.

Thank you for your continued support and don't hesitate to contact us at any time.
