Exterior of Abbotsford Private Hospital, highlighting a secure mental health facility supported by Galvin’s homely ligature resistant tapware and bathroom fixtures.

Project Description

Galvin Engineering was an important member in the project for Abbotsford Private Hospital situated in West Leederville. This project involved the demolition of the previous mental hospital and in turn the construction of a new mental health facility. The expansion allowed for a further 47 beds to be added, increasing the hospital’s capacity to bed 77 people.

Galvin Engineering incorporated products that were tailored to this mental health industry's unique needs. Our showers, basins, taps, and toilets used in this expansion are equipped with ligature-resistant features that mitigate the risk of self-harm by reducing the likelihood of ligature attachment.
