Getting Started
Before proceeding with the installation of this product, ensure all operating and dimensional specifications are suitable for the intended application. Galvin Specialised products are to be installed in accordance with the Plumbing Code of Australia (PCA), AS/NZS 3500, and the manufacturers installation instructions.

Improper Installation
Improper adjustment, calibration, operation or installation of the Product by the Customer including incorrect installation of the water supply and/or electrical supply system of which the Product forms a part, installation not in accordance with the requirements of the National Plumbing Code AS/NZ 3500.1-2003, SAA Wiring Rules AS/NZ 3000 or any relevant statutory and local requirements in the State or Territory in which the Product is installed, may void the product and performance warranty provisions.

Care must always be taken to not overtighten fittings – overtightening may cause premature failure of seals, and/or damage threads and compression fittings.

Flushing Prior to Use
If the installation is to be left for extended periods prior to commissioning, ensure that all lines are re-flushed and debris removed from the lines and taps prior to first use, as per AS/NZS 3500.1:2003 Section 16. It is also recommended that installations be regularly operated during extended standstill periods to ensure that internal components are maintained in working condition.

Isolation Valves and Inline Filters
The use of isolation valves and inline filters is highly recommended in all new installations, or where the water supply is known to be of poor quality. In installations where water pressure and/or water velocity is known to be outside of the manufacturers technical specification, the installation of Pressure Reduction Valves (PRV’s) and/or water hammer arrestors is recommended.
